Transcriptions of twenty-three videotape presentations on the history of music in forty-nine southeastern Idaho communities. Interviews were conducted in these communities on the influence of music in the lives of the early settlers of the region and videotape presentations were developed in which an oral and visual "musical history" for each participating community was created, covering a history that includes bands, orchestras, choirs, dances, and individual musicians of the times. At the end of each transcript is a copy of the results of the study and charts graphing the findings. Project was directed by Ruth Barrus.
